Iron Maiden released new album 2015 entitled "The Book of Souls"

Legend of heavy metal band "Iron Maiden" has released a new album entitled "The Book of Souls" on September 4, 2015 by Parlophone Records label. "The Book of Souls" is one album which’s eagerly awaited by the metalheads around the world, especially fans of Iron Maiden after they waited for 5 years for this album. This is release of the album with the longest time after Iron Maiden released album “The Final Frontier” in 2010 ago. The sixteenth album was recorded in the Guillaume Tell Studios Paris, France which is a studio that once they use to record the album "Brave New World" in 2000 ago. Steve Harris said that the process of making album "The Book of Souls" performed by different ways with his previous albums that’s written in studio and immediately recorded so that the songs are still fresh, energetic and live feel. Process of recording this album was assisted by producer Kevin Shirley. Kevin Shirley is also a producer who has participated in the album Iron Maiden like “Brave New World” (2000), “A Matter of Life and Death” (2006), and “The Final Frontier” (2010).

Album "The Book of Souls" was actually recorded in 2014 ago and was completed in early 2015. But Iron Maiden decided to delay release of the album globally because their lead singer Bruce Dickinson was diagnosed with cancer of the tongue. This delay is used to allow time for Bruce Dickinson undergo intensive treatment to be free of tumor suffered. The man who is now at the age of 56 years should undergo cancer treatment through radiotherapy and chemotherapy for seven weeks. Along with his health is getting better, Bruce Dickinson has now rejoined the other personnel to launch his latest album "The Book Of Soul".

There are significant differences in distribution of the writing on the album "The Book of Soul" when compared with the previous albums. For the first time since the album “Powerslave” (1984) Bruce Dickinson only contributes by donating two songs namely If Eternity Should Fail and Empire of the Clouds. Although only contributed two songs, Bruce Dickinson is able to make a song called Empire of the Clouds became one song with the longest duration is 18 minutes. This is the longest Iron Maiden song ever recorded. Empire of the Clouds is a song that is unusual and very emotional with sound featuring piano played by Bruce Dickinson coupled with the luxury orchestra makes the feel of the song into a cinematic. Meanwhile Steve Harris contributed by donating a self-written song and 6 songs he wrote with third guitarist Iron Maiden. One song written by Steve Harrris and Adrian Smith, entitled Tears of a Clown is a song that is intended to commemorate the figure of actor and comedian Robin Williams. Robin Williams was found dead due to suicide on August 14, 2014 at his home in Paradise Cay, California. Robin Williams, who always looks fun and happy reportedly suffering from depression as a result of addiction to alcohol and drugs. This song has lyrics that describe how someone fun trying hard to hide her depression in a way to keep smiling in front of the camera and as if he was in a state that is fine. Tears of a Clown also became one of the favorite tracks for vocalist Bruce Dickinson and this song may also need to be heard by you.

The band, which consists of Bruce Dickinson (vocals), Dave Murray (guitars), Adrian Smith (guitars), Janick Gers (guitars), Steve Harris (bass, keyboards) and Nicko McBrain (drums) entrust the design album cover to Mark Wilkinson. Mark Wilkinson has also created works for Iron Maiden as Live at Donington (1998 remastered version), Best of the B Sides (2002 compilation), The Wicker Man and Out of the Silent Planet. In album cover These figures show that the band mascot Eddie with a dark background.

Album "The Book of Souls" consists of 11 songs that have a total duration of 92 minutes and this is the first studio double album Iron Maiden. In this album there is a single entitled Speed Of Light. Single interesting to listen coupled with a very good video makes this song feels special. This is a collaboration that’s very fitting. Video Speed Of Light featuring trips Eddie (Iron Maiden mascot) through a video game inspired by the "Donkey Kong," "Streets of Rage," "Mortal Kombat" and "Call of Duty". The video was directed by Llexi Leon with assistance from the Brewery Production Company. In addition there is a song called If Eternity Should Fail which is the first song on the album. This song is a song that is very catchy with a fast tempo and energetic. Some of the other songs on the album is also very feasible to listened to. For me the album "The Book of Souls" is an album that is required to be heard this year.
